'True' Pass Catching Efficiency

'True' pass catching efficiency is Suited's stat-line that closely examines pass-catchers at all positions, showing how efficient each player is in various areas by outlining and displaying their effectiveness and 'game' through the air.

  • FOR THE TIME BEING, these analytics apply to pass-catchers WHEN TARGETED ONLY. Subject to change in future

  • Good Positioning, Good Deep Positioning is tallied by times pass-catcher was able to get in a favorable position to make themselves available for a catch/amount of times player was targeted in general

  • Man Separation tallied by amount of times pass-catcher created any real separation vs man defender/total number of targets vs man coverage

  • Soft Zone Finder tallied by amount of times pass-catcher sat in open grass vs zone coverage/total number of targets vs zone coverage

  • MIH (Made It Happen) is the total amount of times a pass-catcher was tossed the ball short of where they needed to be (short of endzone, short of the sticks, behind/at LOS) and got the job done (scored a TD, moved the chains, gained enough yards to keep on schedule)

  • MTC (Missed Tackled Caused) is the total number of would-be tackles a pass-catcher escaped from by way of a football move (broken tackles, jukes, stiff-arms, etc) post-catch

  • Improv is the total number of times a pass-catcher improvised at the end of their route/when their QB was in trouble to get in a good position for the QB to locate them and avoid disaster

  • Improbable catches (defined by hauling in poor placement passes) is the total number of improbable catches a pass-catcher is responsible for; uncatchable balls is the total amount of times pass-catcher was thrown a simply uncatchable ball

What are 'True' QB stats?

'True' QB Stats/efficiency is a stat-line designed by Suited Football to put a quarterback in a box, tallying what should've happened based on the quarterback's decision making and ball placement instead of what actually happened - eliminating devastating drops, among other things - to show how efficient each quarterback actually performed each week.
